Event Information
Forsyth-Monroe County is the Public Safety Capital of Georgia. The Forsyth-Monroe Chamber of Commerce hosts Public Safety Day annually to bring awareness and recognition to the valiant efforts of our community and state in the public safety industry. This year, the 2014 Leadership Monroe class has joined forces to ensure that this event is bigger and better than ever! There will be a 5K and fun run as well as a festival complete with Public Safety demonstrations, classes, a children's fun zone, and more fun for the whole family!

Location
The Georgia Public Safety Training Center is located off of I-75 in Forsyth. From I-75 Northbound, take exit 188. Turn onto GA 42. Make a sharp right onto Lee St./Collier Rd. Follow the signs to the training center. From I-75 Southbound, take exit 188. Turn right onto Lee St./Collier Rd. Follow the signs to the training center.

Race Day Schedule (October 11)
7:30 - 8:15 AM Registration
8:30 AM 5K/Fun Run
Refreshments and awards ceremony immediately following the race.

Award Categories
5K: Awards for first overall male or female runners. Awards presented to the top male and female runners in each of the following categories. 18 and under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70/over
Fun Run: Awards for participants 13 and under and male/female racers placing first, second, and third in each race.

Dry-Fit T-shirts guaranteed to pre-registered and extras available on race day as long as supply lasts then orders taken for $5.

Water stations along the course. Enjoy refreshments after the race.

Public Safety Day Festival will include various demonstrations and classes provided by local and statewide public safety agencies. There will also be vendors selling a variety of items including food. Bring the kids for the Children's Fun Zone with games and rides offered by Wow Inflatables!
