Event Information
Race proceeds go to Peacemakers, a 501(C) 3 (nonprofit) organization that teaches children ages 8-13 peaceful ways of being with themselves
and with the world. Children learn that peace can really begin with them. This year has marked the 16th year that money has been raised for
Peacemakers to hold a summer camp. Peacemakers Camp brings together children of unlike backgrounds in a nurturing environment to celebrate
diversity.
Course is scenic and demanding, with two long, gradual inclines. Race starts and ends at the Visitors’ Center. Ocmulgee National Monument has no fee to visit. After the race, stay and experience part of Middle Georgia’s history. Visit museum exhibits, the temple mounds, walking and hiking trails. View the birds, flowers, trees and wildlife of this urban greenspace.
Awards to Top Three male and female in each category: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 & over. Ribbons will go to all youth who participate in the fun run.
